Magnus Jonsson is the new Phoniro CEO
Magnus Jonsson has been appointed the new CEO of the ASSA ABLOY subsidiary Phoniro AB, the market leader in welfare technology for elderly care. He succeeds Pontus Björnsson, who has been at the helm of the company since 2015.
Magnus has an extensive professional background as a consultant with a global outlook. He was a founding partner of the pioneering business division of Senior Care at ASSA ABLOY Global Solutions, including participating in the acquisition of Phoniro in 2018.
– It’s an exciting opportunity not to mention incredibly inspiring to work in this field. The more successful we are, the better equipped we are to create a richer, more independent life for the growing senior population. At the same time, we are streamline the daily job performed by those working within the sector, says Magnus Jonsson.
Phoniro was the first company that ASSA ABLOY Global Solutions acquired under the new division Senior Care. In 2020 it was bolstered by the additional acquisition of the Dutch company FocusCura, another innovative enterprise rooted in digital solutions for elderly care.
– My focus moving forward will be to collectively engage our creative team members, continue to develop our qualitative solutions, as well as identify new areas of opportunity to create the best digital solutions to truly make a difference for the future of senior care.
Magnus acceded the position on the 1st of October this year.
